e-DRIVE Information Days: Introducing the Future of Logistics Training Across Europe

Between March and June 2026, the e-DRIVE consortium organised a series of Information Day events across four countries to introduce the project to VET students, teachers, industry professionals, and local stakeholders. These events marked the project’s first direct engagement with its target groups and generated valuable feedback that is now shaping the development of the 8 e-DRIVE micro-courses and micro-credentials.

Spain: Connecting VET Students, Teachers, and Industry

Fundación Dolores Sopeña, the project coordinator, held three Information Day events in Seville. The first two sessions targeted VET students and teachers, introducing them to the e-DRIVE Professional Profile and the competences that future logistics professionals will need. A third session was dedicated to industry professionals, bringing together representatives from the transport and logistics sector to discuss how the project’s micro-credentials can support workforce development and bridge the gap between training and employment.

Participants explored the project’s approach to combining digital learning, practical simulation, and stackable micro-credentials. The events received positive attention from local media, with e-DRIVE being featured in Spanish press coverage. Two major logistics companies provided feedback on the Professional Profile, describing the document as “solid” and well-aligned with industry needs.

Greece: Engaging the Next Generation of Logistics Professionals

4 EPAL Kavalas organised their Information Day for VET students and teachers in Greece. The event introduced students to the concept of micro-credentials and the opportunities that the e-DRIVE training programme will offer in areas such as digital route planning, eco-driving, vehicle maintenance, and AI in logistics.

Students had the opportunity to learn about the eight thematic areas covered by the project and to share their views through a dedicated feedback survey. The Greek team successfully reached their participant targets and collected valuable input that has fed directly into the validation of the Professional Profile.

Lithuania: Opening Doors at the School’s Open Day

APRC (Aukštaitijos profesinio rengimo centras) took a creative approach by combining their e-DRIVE Information Day with the school’s annual Open Day. This allowed the team to reach not only current VET students and teachers, but also groups of students from local gymnasiums who were exploring vocational education pathways.

The event showcased the e-DRIVE project alongside the school’s broader VET offering, positioning the logistics micro-courses as a concrete example of how European cooperation is modernising vocational training. Participants received information about the project, the upcoming micro-courses, and the micro-credential framework, and were invited to share their feedback through the project’s participant survey.

Spain: Connecting Online Across Classrooms

There was another InfoDay promoted in Spain, which was led by INCOMA. Lucrezia Giordano connected online to deliver the project presentation to students, ensuring that the event could proceed despite scheduling constraints. The session covered the same core topics as the other national events and collected participant feedback through the standardised survey.

What We Learned

Across all countries, the Information Days confirmed several important findings:

The concept of stackable micro-credentials for the logistics sector is well received by both students and industry professionals. Students are particularly interested in practical, hands-on learning approaches rather than purely theoretical content. Industry experts value the alignment between the e-DRIVE competence framework and real labour-market needs. There is strong interest in the digital driving simulator as an innovative training tool.

All participant feedback has been integrated into the ongoing development of the e-DRIVE Professional Profile and will guide the design of the 8 micro-courses now entering the content development phase.

What Comes Next

With the Information Days completed and the Professional Profile nearing its final version, the e-DRIVE consortium is now focused on developing the micro-course content and preparing the Moodle e-learning platform. The next major milestone is the Transnational Meeting in Sofia (October 2026), where partners will review the first drafts of all micro-courses and test the driving simulator. The pilot delivery with VET students is scheduled to begin in February 2027.
