Our Vision:
Shaping the Future of Logistics

e-DRIVE is an Erasmus+ KA220-VET cooperation project running from November 1, 2025, to October 31, 2027. It unites six partners from Spain, Greece, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, and Lithuania to address a critical challenge in the labour market: the shortage of qualified logistics truck drivers and the skills mismatch that exists between traditional “licence-only” training and the competencies needed in modern logistics.

The Challenge:
Why e-DRIVE Matters

Across Europe, logistics companies face significant difficulties in recruiting and retaining drivers. VET providers often lack structured pathways to incorporate a specialized “logistics truck driving” training on top of existing commerce and logistics programs. With the rapid evolution of the sector—encompassing smart fleet management, AI-enabled logistics, and sustainable practices—learners require more than just driving skills; they need a comprehensive set of technical, digital, and practical competencies that are readily recognized across borders.

Crafting Solutions:
e-DRIVE’s Innovative Approach

e-DRIVE establishes an industry-aligned training pathway based on micro-credentials. The project develops the e-DRIVE Professional Profile, a competence framework designed for integration into VET, and creates 8 stackable micro-courses (5 hours each). These courses, hosted on an e-learning platform, combine short digital learning units with practical exercises and real-life scenarios. One course features a digital trucking simulator to enhance hands-on readiness in a safe environment.

The 8 Micro-Courses Include:

To ensure the portability of achievements, e-DRIVE establishes a consortium Recognition Agreement, allowing microcredentials to be recognized across participating partners. The project also lays the groundwork for future collaboration through MoUs between VET schools’ career offices and industry contacts, creating a transnational network to support work-based learning and job-shadowing opportunities.

Empowering Learners:
Who Benefits from e-DRIVE?

The primary beneficiaries are VET students, trainers, and logistics stakeholders. The pilot program will engage a minimum of 120 VET students (30 from each of 4 participating schools), ensuring at least 20% of participants come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Evidence will be collected through course completion rates, simulator usage, and structured feedback from learners. Indirect beneficiaries include policymakers, accreditation bodies, NGOs, and other sector stakeholders who can leverage project outputs, including OER micro-courses and a Position Paper, to integrate micro-credentialed logistics specializations into VET.

Join the Movement: Be Part of the e-DRIVE Experience

e-DRIVE is designed to complement regulated driving-licence pathways and does not replace official licensing requirements.
